Know your fit

Every FLUXX piece is either Regular or Relaxed. The difference is where the shoulder seam sits and how much room the body has.

Regular fit, flat A flat tee with the shoulder seam at the shoulder tip and a chest width of 21 inches in size L. Chest 42 in Flat width 21 in

Regular fit

The seam sits at the shoulder tip. The body follows your chest with 2 to 3 in of room.

Measure your chest

Use whichever is easier. Both give the number you compare with the chart.

Measuring your chest Front view of a torso with a tape measure level around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms. Fullest part of your chest Arms relaxed at your sides

On your body

  1. Stand straight with your arms relaxed.
  2. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and over the shoulder blades.
  3. Keep it level and snug, not tight. Read the number in inches.
Measuring a tee you own A flat tee with a line straight across the chest, one inch below the armhole, measuring 21 inches. Doubled, that is a 42 inch garment chest. Edge to edge 21 in 21 in × 2 = 42 in Garment chest, size L

On a tee you own

  1. Lay your best-fitting tee flat and smooth it out.
  2. Measure straight across, 1 in below the armhole seam, from edge to edge.
  3. Double the number. Compare it with the Garment chest column.

On the model

The model is 5 ft 11 in with a 40 in chest and wears size L in every piece.

Room is the garment chest minus your chest. In the regular fit that is 2 in. In the relaxed fit it is 4 in.

Spread all the way around the chest, 2 in is about a third of an inch of air and 4 in is about two thirds. That is why even the relaxed fit sits tidy on the body, and why one size up or down changes the feel clearly.

Between two sizesTake the larger for comfort, the smaller for a sharper fit.

LayeringQuarter-zips and loopers use the Regular chart. Worn over a tee, you may want one size up.

ToleranceAll measurements are garment measurements in inches, taken flat and doubled, within 0.5 in.

FLUXX · Garment chest = flat width across the chest × 2.
